change of base: estee lauder double wear
Recently I've been craving something with a little more coverage and staying-power than my usual bases of choice. Back in the good old days of 2011, I used to love Estee Lauder Double Wear for it's long lasting, full coverage but moved on to something a little less matte.
Four years later , I decided to give it another go. Thankfully, I know a little bit more about my skin now and I think I've found the perfect combination. I like to start by moisturising with Clarins Hydraquench - perfect for hydrating the skin without feeling too greasy. I also like to mix a little bit of Nars Copacabana in with my primer to give a slightly more dewy look, a little spritz of Fix+ and I'm good to go.
I was matched to shade 1N1 Ivory Nude which is the palest neutral shade they offer. I love the coverage this foundation gives - a flawless, natural finish which lasts all day. My skin has recently been quite prone to blemishes and redness and I love how this foundation covers all that, without looking too heavy or cakey. Although I do suffer from an oily t-zone, I find that this foundation really goes the distance and I don't need to bother with touch-ups throughout the day.
All in all, if you're looking for a flawless, full coverage base with great lasting power and don't mind a matte finish, then definitely give this one a try.
